![]() Since the headset is using a 3.5mm jack output and does not require any driver, it does not show up as a device in the Device Manager. For whatever reason the laptop disregards the headset mic. Using either does not let me use the actual headset mic, but only the default laptop's mic. When using programs like Discord, there are two input options: Default and Realtek HD. I can still listen to sounds with the headset, but I cannot use the mic. One day after bringing the laptop home from work (didn't install anything new at work) the headset suddenly does not work anymore, at least the mic. They're both plug-n-play, so they're basically as complicated to set up as a $5 earbud from your local store. To specified, both headsets only have one 3.5mm jack as output and my laptop only have one 3.5mm hole input (seen below). I have two headsets, a HyperX Cloud Alpha and HyperX Cloud 2. I have a Dell Inspilaptop with Windows 10 installed.
